Created around 9 or 10 million years ago, and it is Borgogno’s youngest plot. The name San Pietro Delle already suggests that the wines produced from these grapes are highly fragrant and at times recall the fragrance of viola. It is without doubt the vineyard that gives the wines an increased softness and elegance that is exciting from the very first sip. This vineyard covers around 4 hectares and has a south-eastern exposure. The altitude varies from 300 to 340 metres above sea level and the vineyard is not far from the evocative chapel of San Pietro delle Viole, reminding us how this flower truly comes into its own in the fragrant world of Barolo.
